Evangelical presbyterian church (EPCSA) in South Africa was celebrating 150 years in a meeting which was held at Valdesia Mission station 24 -28 October 2025. Moderator speech by Rev G.S Moyana on behalf of the church fraternity and all in attendance. This was a milestone in the history of the church.
There was also a salute with remembrance of the first convert of the church, Mrs Lydia Xihlomulo with a gift bestowed in her honor to one distinguished guest who happens to be the premier of the province, Mrs Phophi Ramathuba and her role as woman leader in the province following in the footsteps of Mrs Lydia Xihlomulo being a woman who was involved in some church activities and being the first convert who was also separated in a polygamous marriage from her husband as a sacrifice like many of the unsung hero’s in her time.
The highest order from the church bestowed to any distinguished individual with their contribution to society. Here is the moderator of the church, Rev G.S Moyana and the premier of the province granted the order of the church in honor of Mrs Lydia Xihlomulo.
